Does the NVR record continuously or only record motion events? Does it automatically overwrite the oldest recordings?

The NVR in this security cameras kit supports record both motion and continuously. It supports overwrite. The overwrite feature is optional and you can turn it on/off.

How long does the security camera systems store video footage?

Proximately, with 4 cameras all working, this security system can store video footage for 6 days to its pre-installed 2TB HDD . You can expand the NVR’s storage capacity that can be up to 10TB with one hard drive.

Can the NVR connect to WiFi?

No. LongPlus POE camera system can only be connected to the Internet via Ethernet cable. Users can connect the PoE NVR to a router with an Ethernet cable.

What Ethernet cable can I use? What is the maximum distance between the camera and NVR?

The package included 4 x 60ft( 18m) Ethernet cables in the kit. You can change them to longer ones. LongPlus PoE cameras support CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6, CAT7 with 8-PIN Ethernet cables. The maximum length of the network cable they support is 660ft (200m).
